Sergey Mironov, Chairman of Party A JUST RUSSIA and the Head of the State Duma party faction received a delegation of the DPRK Embassy in the RF. Alexander Chetverikov, a State Duma deputy of the A JUST PARTY faction also took part in the meeting.

DPRK Extraordinary and Plenipotentiory Ambassador to the RF Kim Hyun-joon, First Secretary of the DPRK Embassy to the RF Lee En-zin and Counselor of the DPRK Embassy in the RF Son Gvan Su.

At the beginning of the meeting Mr. Mironov said he was glad to welcome the DPRK representatives, and asked to give congratulations to the DPRK leader Kim Jong Un on the forthcoming anniversary of the foundation of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

"I’d like to make a special focus on strengthening of the relations between the parliaments of the Russian Federation and DPRK. We consider it an important direction and are ready to support it," said Mr. Mironov. We also welcome the statement made by the Head of the Foreign Service of Russia who did not exclude possibility of changing visits on a higher level."

According to Kim Hyun-joon, participation in the given meeting is a great honor for him. He expressed hope for a successful future cooperation between the two parties and noted that there was a meeting devoted to economic cooperation between the two countries in June this year. He also handed over to Sergey Mironov and the other representatives of the A JUST RUSSIA faction an invitation of the leader of North Korea Kim Jong Un to take part in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the Workers’ Party of Korea in October 2015.

Sergey Mironov expressed his gratitude for the invitation and wished success in their diplomatic work on strengthening of the bilateral relations.
