According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the number of refugees living in temporary housing has exceeded 20,000 people. Six Russian regions have introduced an emergency situation regime. Sergei Mironov, Chairman of Party A JUST RUSSIA and the head of the party Duma faction made comments on the situation.

The parliamentarian thinks that the Ukrainian crisis has acquired a lot of dimensions: political, military, geopolitical, criminal and economic but the most tragic one is humanitarian.

"Millions of people have to pay their lives, health, peace and prosperity for irresponsibility and adventurism of a bunch of politicians," Sergei Mironov emphasized.

It must be noted that a special regime has been introduced in the Rostov region, the Volgograd and Astrakhan regions, in the Stavropol territory, the Republic of Kalmykia and in Sevastopol. The situation in the towns and settlements of Donbas still remains tense.

"We have no right to be indifferent to the tragedy unfolding in Ukraine," declared Sergei Mironov, Chairman of Party A JUST RUSSIA. "When I say ‘WE’, I mean not only our state but the whole society. The State has certain limitations but the power of compassion for the people who got into trouble, solidarity with them and involvement in their destinies is beyond limitation. I made sure of that once again when arranging humanitarian aid for the refugees and the people in the south-east of Ukraine."

Dozens of tonns of humanitarian loads have already been collected by efforts of A JUST RUSSIA within the all-party humanitarian aid collection for the people of Donbass. Fund raising for aid provision to the people in the south-east of Ukraine and the refugees is continuing in a very active way via site http://rushelp.org, opened in cooperation with the Elizaveta Glinka’s fund "Just Help".

Sergei Mironov also said: "It is necessary to do much more than has been done because combat actions are still going on and people continue to suffer because any possible agreement with the current Kiev authorities cannot be a trustworthy guarantee. It is only our solidarity that can be such a guarantee."
